Birthday Parties
Birthday parties are fun. WIS allows for children and parents to celebrate birthdays in school during lunch time. Usually the Mom brings in lunch for the class along with a cake and sing Sto Lat or Happy Birthday.
You can arrange this with your child's teacher. It is requested that gifts be given to the Parent before or after school to avoid distraction with school activities. It is the more common practice to take gifts home and open them there, but it is your personal choice. Also in case you are wondering, goodie bags for guests are popular.
When planning a party it might be helpful to know that some students also have classes on Saturdays. It is common to hold a party on a weekday after school activities. If you would like to have the convenience of using a children's party place we have some links to some popular ones below. If your favourite is not on the list please let the New Comers Committee know so that it can be added.
